Full Episode Transcript

In my goal-setting tool kit, which you can get through my website at therebelsden.com, I have a section where you can ask yourself some questions that might help you if you're stuck in your life and business and looking for some guidance and direction. I want to talk about these questions today. You can pause the podcast. As you need. You can again sign up for the freebie, and just go through that way and just listened to me ramble in this process, so let's get to it.

What have I been doing and continue to do in my life that I know is now working for me? Is that a thing from anyone else? One of the things that you've been doing that just isn't working for you any longer and it could be about you know personal life.

Anything business, too. Maybe it's setting boundaries. Maybe you've not been really really good at that, and you know you need to do that because not having boundaries isn't really working for you. Maybe it's what you're eating. You know you want to improve your health. That's been pretty much the case for me, and yet I still crave that bag of chips every now and again. It's not working for me. I am. Just really reflect on that what's working for you, and then also then realize what you need to do to make the changes that you would like to make.

Why have I not yet taken action to course adjust my journey in order to get different results?

I know goal setting can be challenging and figuring out what your steps are can be even more challenging because you don't know what you don't know, right. But if you've been doing something for X amount of time, and you're not getting the results that you want to achieve. Then it's time to look at what is not working as with the previous question. What's are working in this process. For you. What do you need to adjust the course and get back on the trajectory that you want to be on?

Really take some take to review it and get really clear on that.

What are you procrastinating on? Like what's the thing that's been hanging over your head. You have not taken action and it's bothering you. It's probably keeping you up at night. Causing you difficulties falling asleep and just feeling so heavy. For me,  I'll share with you like setting a doctor's appointment, it's one of the things I've been procrastinating on for a really long time and I mean, a really long time.

I know I need to do it and I've been meeting with my accountability partner every week for the last couple of months, but I have not done it. There's a specific day I have to call them to do it, and it just keeps slipping my mind, but then for the rest of the week, I'm stressed over it and I finally pulled on my calendar to alert me to call them and set that appointment because it is important that I get a wellness check.

So, what something that's you've been procrastinating on that's really really important for you.

What are some negative habits you need to let go of?

For me, it's been junk food and I have been shifting the way I eat and how much water I drink. I still drink my coffee, right, but there's been a shift in how I wanted to take care of my body through food. And letting go of junk food has been a pretty challenging habit because we like to snack at the end of the day in front of the TV at night. It just seems so natural to have a bag of chips while you're watching TV or even while, and I'm reading a book. It's just been a thing for me.

Think about a great challenge that you faced in the last six to twelve months and think about the lessons that you learned and that you can apply to your future self for your benefit. There are always lessons to be learned and doesn't matter where you are in your life, And whatever you have challenges you faced, there are always lessons to be learned whether it's been in the past week, three months, six months, twelve months, there's always some to be learned in this process.

Some of the challenges I've had is to find people from my giveaways. Because I am in the personal development space and in the business space or there is an overlap happening, and while people that are in business, understand investing in their business through these online giveaways in the personal development space, it just doesn't feel the same people tend not be as eagerly to invest growing their email us to do these list building activities. So I hadn't had much success in doing the paid versions and recognized that in the personal development space that may not be a thing, and it needs to shift, so now I'm offering my events for people to join for free. Whether it's a giveaway as a summit or anything like that, it's you know free to sign up, but my requirements look different. At the minimum of one hundred people on the email list there are now I believe one thousand is what I changed it to. Because I'm going to do this whole staying free then I have some higher requirements for people to participate, so you know it's always looking at the challenges of some of the lessons, and then adjusting the chorus to get the results that you want.

Is there anything you intend to achieve in the next six or twelve months that you haven't taken action on yet? A  really good letter thing for me is I don't really have anything currently. I am actively working on all the things that I want to do. You know I'm writing a book, currently, I am participating in art events selling my art. I am recording tutorials for my art membership. I have my emails set up. I am participating in list-building activities to my own events into other people's events. Am doing the things that I want to do right now. There's nothing that I've sort of put on hold in the business world. Obviously my personal it's a little different as I mentioned. I need to set that doctor's appointment.

So these are just some of the questions I want to share with you. There's a whole bunch more obviously. I've mentioned there's like twenty-four in my goal setting tool kit that you can get through the Rebels Den {dot} Com Website under the Freebie section. And if you want to really dive in and explore more about some of these questions to really get to know yourself inside and out, Know what's getting in the way, know how to get unstuck, and just kind of go from there.
