So I want to talk about creating the life you want, getting clear on the direction you want to take, and meshing, the multiple passions that you probably have, because you here listening.

I'm a creative, multi-passionate, and in case you're wondering, I'm out on a hike and had this thought and I wanted to share with you.

So here we are, I'm in my previous episodes, I shared that, I was told by about 15 ish years ago, give or take, that I can't have the cake and eat it too, meaning I can't make a living being an artist. I can't write books, and I can't help people. However, which way that was gonna look like I didn't even know that, right. And for the last couple of years, I figured out I can have the cake and eat it too. Because just looking at it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Like you want to enjoy the fruits of your labor if you will. But it came down to figuring out how it was all gonna work for me.

It's not easy, blending two different businesses that are very involved like my art business requires me to create the things I want to create, book events, and set up and have all the things needed for the audience. And of course, then record the videos and create the patterns from a membership really, that's literally a job in and of itself are multiple jobs included. And I do know, people have said, hey, you need a VA, you need an assistant, you can't do it all by yourself. And I don't really do it all by myself have an amazing partner who helps me with some of the things. And one of my kids will be interning with me over the summer to be my assistant and I will teach him how to run one leg of the business so that I don't have to be involved in it for less than what I say got to be involved. He is with some extra needs that I have to be mindful of.

So anyway how did that fit into my coaching business?

How was I able to make that work without getting caught up and sitting in a Zoom meeting after a Zoom meeting after Zoom meeting? Because I'm also highly introverted. I love my space. I love being alone and just doing my thing, but also love people. And I absolutely love helping people. And I get really, really sad. When people tell me they can't do something. And give me a list of reasons and excuses for why they can't, right? Like legit, somebody had an amazing dream of building a camp for at-risk families and its camping style. So I'm thinking dude ranch, but for kids, but in a healthy way, right. And the excuse was they couldn't do it because of the student loan. And again, yes loans have to be paid, no question like, yeah, I understand. But when there is a will, there's a way.

And if you're really passionate about it, then you will figure it out. I absolutely believe that. That if you're truly passionate about it, and it's the kind of thing that keeps you up at night and you wish you could be doing it, you will figure it out and how to make that happen. Anyway, back to my thing where I was like trying to figure out how to run petramonaco.com and make all the arts, write books and run the Rebels Den, still offer coaching and various offerings, programs, etc., as well, because I'm not a super fan of zooms.

I use them for interviews for my summits and absolutely when people want them and they have to request them like hey, can we jump on a zoom? You'll have to request that I'll probably offer it because not my jam.

But introduce Voxer or even the volley because we can do it anytime for half a day. So I like to offer my services for like a week, a month, or three months on unlimited support Monday through Friday. And volley and voxer allow me to do that, as I can be on a hike, like right now and support, give feedback, and all the things that the client may need at that moment. And I also have, what I offer a private space in my community that nobody has access to, but me and my client, where I will put notes and resources that will help them support them with whatever they're working on, whether it be worksheets, planners, etc, etc.

And so being able to offer coaching through Voxer, or even the volley app, I'm still able to make art, right, like I can sit down, woodburn my next amazing piece, and then just vox as well, you still get my whole attention, you still get my support, and my feedback and everything you need to help you with whatever reasons you've hired me for to help. And for me, that feels so good, I'm able to do all the things, all my emails have been set up. It's a task, I will be handing over to my son over the summer, to work on a few more email elements and I'm gonna put him in charge of that.

So he's gonna do some of the tasks, I don't really feel like doing that I don't have time for that for me and it just, but there needs to be done. And since he'll be out of school while he's graduating, and transitioning into post-high to help him with some more independent life and job skills, this will be his first official experience on a job exploring a field that he may or may not be interested in.

But anyhow, that's off-topic, right.

So figuring out how to blend your multiple things is as easy as knowing this is what I want to do and what makes sense.

Maybe you need more structured hours in a day and be like, alright, this is the hours I use for that. These other hours I used for this, it could very well be that or you could do like I too, you know I do admin work and things like that first thing in the morning the brain work.

And then in the afternoon, I do most of my artwork, but I can coach my clients anytime, anywhere on the trail in a car ride while doing art there still get my attention. They're not neglected, they are not abandoned in a way because they will get my support and I will have space in my community for them for notes.

And like I said worksheets and planners and all the things that may be beneficial to them that they need to help them go the next. So if you are curious and wanted to figure that out and how to blend two different businesses or two different things, just sit down, and make a list of what each is required. And what will show good and how to do it and then just start implementing it. That is it.
